I am way behind on my blogging so please excuse this post from a couple months ago. Colorado Springs has an annual Hot Air Balloon Festival. Steve and I had never been to a balloon festival before so we wanted to go. We got the kids up WAY early and went to so see all the balloons. It was so neat to see all the balloons inflated. They had two special shapes balloons Noahs Ark and the Energizer bunny. It was such a process to get the air in the balloons. It was really awesome to look up inside and see up into the balloons. Steve and Sabrinna were able to help a crew get there balloon set up. The only bad part was that they were not able to ascend because of the weather. It would have been a neat sight but maybe next year.

Go Bronco's!!!...and Happy 5 years!
For our 5th anniversary (Aug 21) Steve and I went to a Denver Bronco's game. Neither of us had been to a professional football game. We got great seats and had a lot of fun on our date.
The last five years have gone by fast! We have made a lot of memories and I am looking forward to many more years of great memories.
Odds and Ends
These are just a few odd pictures from over the summer.

Tanner started walking at about 10 months. It was super exciting but as all mothers know it meant watching him more closely. Tanner gets into everything!!!! I can definitely tell a difference from raising a girl and a boy.

Tanner loved getting into the potting soil in my house plant. Luckily he got over it fast. Now he likes to crawl around the plant. It's like Tanner is saying yeh!!! I did it again. Dirt tastes so good.

Steve caught a couple of frogs and put them in my tomato bed. They had some babies! They really like swimming in our little pond!

The Wentz Ladies!
Over the last week of July and first part August Kellie and Michelle came to visit. We had a lot of fun with them here. We went to Six Flags in Denver, did more yard work, and went to a social activity on a farm.
A lot of our summer time has been spent doing yard work. (I hope to post pictures of what we have been doing soon.)

Steve and his family LOVE amusement rides. The faster the bigger the better! Sabrinna has got it in her blood because she went on the Tilt-a-world about 4 times right in a row. When she got off she wasn't sick and ready for more. The second picture is of us just getting off a water ride. I think that was the only ride Sabrinna did not like...the getting wet part.

Once a year a family in our ward invites everyone over to there home/farm for a social. They have horses, goats, chickens, and lots of open land. There neighbor gave everyone a hay ride. It was a lot of fun and we had a great time meeting people and enjoying the open land.

We also bought a boat to take over to a local pond and drive around. It was not the most qualitly boat. Anyways as luck would have it the battery died when the boat was in the middle of the pond. We tried to have a fishermen catch it and reel it in for us. Unfortunately, that did not work so we had to wait for the wind to blow it to shore. Lets just say we were there for a while.

Sampler
This is a sample of a few things that we did through out July.

Tanner loves the water. I was in the shower one day and he climbed in with me cloths and all. He just sat at my feet not bothered at all by the water beating down on his face. Tanner would stay in the bath all day long if I let him.

This is a picture of my tomato plant. I planted four plants, very late in the season. I am hoping of canning them. Now at the end of September my tomatoes are just starting to turn red. I got quiet a few so hopefully it doesn't freeze before they ripen.

Sabrinna putting on all of her dress up accessories.

I put Tanner in his high chair for breakfast and I got busy doing dishes. When I came back this is what I found. AHWWW!

A cute moment when the kids were playing together!

Sisterly Love!
My sisters came to visit in July for a week. It was so much fun to have them here. My sisters are my best friends, so to spend time with them after we moved was wonderful. While they were here we went to tour The Air Force Academy and Garden of the Gods.

The Academy was an amazing tour. I honestly don't know why anyone would want to spend their college career like that... working so hard and being treated so poorly, at least the first year. I guess the cadets are better people that me. The chapel was neat to walk through and to see the view of Colorado Springs.

At Garden of the Gods we walked around and played in the rocks. Sabrinna was climbing all over the rocks and deep into the crevices. I was surprised that she was not scared of it. We really enjoyed the hike and being out in some of God's creations.

Super Slacker!
Life has been so busy lately! It seems like when ever I get a free minute to blog I am just not in the mood. I apologize for those of you that are following our family blog. I hope to get to it sometime soon. We have been busy putting in a yard, celebrating Sabrinna's 3rd birthday, and then taking care of day to day tasks. I will hopefully get to it soon!!!

Ralene!!!
One of my best friends and college roommates came to visit us from AZ over the forth of July. We had a lot of fun and kept busy going from activity to activity.

For Father's Day I got Steve a flag to hang on our house. So we had a little flag ceremony. (It was a matter of putting the flag up on the 4th.)

We went to see the movie Up.

At Fort Carson they were having a celebration with lots of activities for people. One of the activities was paintball. I had never played before and Steve convinced me to play. It was a lot of fun and our team won!

We took Raelene and Steve to the North Pole. They had a great time and got themselves sick on the Teacup ride. I was talking to some of the employees and they said Steve and Rae had a record for spinning the fastest and longest. Raelene and Sabrinna had lots of fun together feed the deer. :)

We also went to a baseball game. It was nice because we got in for free!!! Sabrinna got bored fast so we didn't stay for long but it was still fun to go.
We were so glad Rae could come visit and celebrate with us. We did see some fireworks. Which is always a highlight. Happy 4th of July!

A little backwards
The day before we moved we went one last time to the temple. Sabrinna liked being there and didn't want to leave.

Life has been pretty busy since we moved. Whether it was moving in or having fun with family that has visited. I have wanted to post for a long time but my time has been stretched.
We have been doing lots of things from going for bike rides to house projects or learning our way around the city. The next few posts are posted backwards. So the most recent post happened when we first moved down to just this last weekend. So the posts are chronologically backwards. I had the time so I posted everything at once.
Anyways this is what we have been doing the last month or so.

A day at the park
They have tons of parks around the city. One day we drove around to a few of the parks and tried them out. My favorite is the Fountain Regional Park. They have a great toy to play on and a really fun trail to walk on that follows the river. They have a couple of ponds you can fish at (but don't eat it). Steve and Sabrinna spent almost 20 minutes feeding the duck and squirrels.
Air show
We found out that the Air Force Academy was having an air show for their graduation. It was open to the public so we went on post and watched the show. It was so COOL! The jets were flying right over us and doing all these cool maneuvers. It was such a neat opportunity. The pictures didn't turn out the best. It was hard to time it just right.
