Tanners Blessing

We held Tanners blessing at our home with close family and friends. We had a very nice time being with the family and celebrating Tanner.

This pictures is of Tanner in his blessing outfit. Steve was blessed in this outfit. Its a little small since we waited so long to bless Tanner, but we still got him in it. My Grandma made the blanket for us that he is laying on.

This is a four generation picture. My Grandma, Dad, Tanner, Sabrinna, who is sound asleep, and myself.

Jazz Game

I am a little late getting these pictures up. Anyways I had never been to a Jazz game and so Steve wanted to take me to one. We went a couple of weeks ago to the Jazz and Spurs game. They lost but it was still fun to watch and have a night out.

Salt Lake Temple

A couple of weeks ago we had the opportunity to go to the Salt Lake Temple and help our friend Eric do baptisms for the dead. Eric really has caught the fire of family history and had prepared some family names for all of us to do. It was really neat to be there in the temple and know a little about the life of these people. It really changes the experience when the person you are doing work for is no longer a name on a piece of paper but a real person.

Our Kids

Sabrinna and her Dad have so much fun together. I melts me heart when she says, "I miss daddy." They like to play magic carpet, color, play hide and seek, ride the wiggle cars, and eat soft pretzels together. I love to just sit back and watch them. It puts a smile on my face every time.

The dress that Sabrinna is in is a dress I wore as a little girl. It was tradition in my family to stand in front of the piano to get our picture taken. I am pretty sure my parents have a picture of me in this dress in front of their piano.

It looks like Sabrinna is praying but she is actually pouting!

I think Tanner is so cute in this outfit. He has gotten so big!

I have been taking a lot of picture the last few days of Sabrinna and Tanner. As a mother I like to try and capture those precious moments but always seem to be a second to late. Oh well!

The last few mornings Sabrinna has wanted to read Tanner a story. She has gone and gotten some books and sat on the bed to read to her brother. He just stares at her and smiles like this is so cool and I love my sister. On of those moments I have missed capturing on camera.

Girls Night!

Last week my sisters come over and we had a girls night. This included manicures, pedicures, face masks and a chick flick. Sabrinna wanted to participate. She thought it was fun putting the mask on but did not like it coming off.

2 Months

Tanner is now two months old. He is so fun to look at and is changing so fast. I can't believe he was born two months ago. I have tried to get a picture of his big smile but its proving harder then you would think. This is a picture of his half smile.

A week of Christmas fun!

We had a most wonderful Christmas. It is amazing how fast the holiday season comes and goes. This is The Wentz family dog, George. Sabrinna loves to play with him. Her latest joy has been to try and ride him like a horse.

One night last week Steve and Sabrinna made a 'Christmas Castle' with all the presents under the tree. Sabrinna had so much fun with it. She was sad the next morning when she got up and we had cleaned it all up. She wanted to make a new castle to play in.

We had Santa come over, a close family friend, Sabrinna did better this year seeing Santa. She didn't know what to think at first. She was fine until we put her on his lap. Then she lost it and started crying. This is are good friend Eric taking his turn telling Santa what he wants for Christmas. It was very comical!

We have really enjoyed the time together with family and friends!

SNOW!!!

Since we have been dumped on from the sky with an abundance of snow we have taken advantage of it and had some good fun. Steve and I shoveled the snow up into a pile in the corner of our backyard and turned it into a little hill. Kellie, Steve's sister, came over and showed us how to properly tube down our hill.

The sun was so bright that it was hurting Sabrinna eyes so she asked to wear her sunglasses! So Cute!

Sisterly Love

Tonight as I was making dinner I put Tanner in his bouncy chair. I turned around to check on him and this is what I found...

Sabrinna is such a helper and is always trying to share with her brother. She will offer Cheetos, juice, toys, and tonight her doll.

A Pleased Mother and Wife

As a family we have reached some big milestones over the last couple of weeks. Tanner turned 1 month on Thanksgiving. He is growing so fast! I am already having to set cloths aside that don't fit anymore. He is doing such a good job holding up his head and smiling.

Sabrinna is continually surprising us with her vast vocabulary and ability to do 25 piece puzzles. The puzzles she is doing now are for children age 3-7. She is doing wonderful with Tanner and is my big helper.

I know Steve doesn't like to have the spotlight on him but its good to have some recognition every once in a while. Last week Steve was promoted from 2nd Lieutenant to 1st. They did a little ceremony at work. Steve was not suppose to be promoted until May. I am grateful for his hard work and dedication to his job and our family. I am a very lucky woman to have married such a talented man. He has been such a help with the kids and helping me recover. He is always trying to do what he can to help our family and serve others.

Update!

Its been 2 1/2 weeks since Tanner was born and life at our home has started to adjust. Tanner is gaining weight and starting to smile. Sabrinna is doing well with getting use to Tanner being home and not getting as much attention as before. She loves to see him in the mornings and will give him a kiss. My recovery has been a lot better then what I thought it would be. I am feeling really well and am up and about. I am still taking it easy and enjoying the time at home with our kids. It is such a blessing to be a mom and get to be home with.

He's Here!!!!

Tanners first picture. This picture was taken in the OR right after he was born. What an amazing experience!!!!

Tanner Jay Wentz joined us on October 30 at 1:10pm. He was 8 pounds and 19 inches long. We were shocked at how much he weighed! The surgery went really well and baby Tanner and I am are doing great. I am sore, obviously, but the pain killers work wonders! I am up and walking around and it feels really good to get out of bed for a little while. This has been a LOT better c-section then the first one. We are taking it easy and should be released from the hospital tomorrow morning. Tanner is so cute and we love to just look at him. He is a wonderful baby and we are so grateful to have him here healthy and alert.

I was so worried how Sabrinna would respond to Tanner but she likes him. She wants to hold him and rub his head. They are really cute together. At first Sabrinna had a hard time seeing me with all this stuffed hooked up to me. Now that they have unhooked from everything she is doing better.

We love our 'little man' and think he is just perfect! (But of coarse all parents think that about their kids.)
