The North Pole

When we moved my mother-in-law, Michelle came with us to help with the kids and build some shelves in the garage. While she was visiting we went to The North Pole. It is a little amusement park designed for little kids. The park is located at the base of Pikes Peak, so you are surrounded by pine trees and have a beautiful view. Sabrinna and Tanner sat on Santa's lap, in years past Sabrinna was scared of Santa. Sabrinna rode all sorts of rides, and made a candle. She LOVED it. She rode rides like the tilt-a-whirl and flying aces. We thought she would get scared on some of the rides but she loved it. They had lots of little rides that she rode by herself and asked to ride over and over and over. It was fun for Michelle and I watch her and take her around the park. Tanner was such a sport and did very well. Steve had to work and couldn't make it so we hope to go back when he can go. You really can have Christmas in July... at least commercialized Christmas.

A little of this and a Little of that

As promised here is a picture of our new party pad. We have been very blessed to find such a nice place. I feel very spoiled to be in a home to call ours. We are close to Steve's work and have really enjoyed making Fountain our home.


I just thought that this was a cute picture of Tanner.


Sabrinna loves to push things around. She was pushing her stroller around one day and asked that we put Tanner in it. They both had lots of fun, Sabrinna pushing and Tanner riding. Sabrinna had the tendency to push Tanner in to corner and then leave him there. :) We had to rescue him a few times.

Zing Zang Zoom

One day as Steve was driving and listening to the radio they were having a contests to win free tickets to Barnum and Baileys Circus. On a whim Steve decided to call. And he won 4 free tickets!!! It was so much fun!!! The magic words to the show were Zing Zang Zoom. The show was full of excitement, magic tricks, and impressive circus acts. We had a wonderful time and what made it even better was it was free. I was a nice close to my parents visit.

Cave of the Winds

While my parents were here we went to Cave of the Winds. It was really neat to go through the cave and see all the caverns and formations. The kids seemed to enjoy it as well. We had to wait for our tour and so I let Tanner play in the sand. He had lots of fun and to my surprise never tried to eat it.

Bed Rock!

One of the big projects at our house is putting in a yard. Its a very popular landscaping design here in Fountain to put in rocks instead of grass. Water is very expensive and they have had a terrible drought the last few years, although the last few weeks would seem contrary to that. (We have had rain almost everyday since we moved 3 weeks ago.) We started out with cardboard, also know as dead grass. We had to rake up the grass, even out the dirt, lay weed barrier and then spread 8 tons of rock. We are very pleased with the results. My parents came out to help us and the missionaries were driving by and saw us spreading the rock and helped as well. It made out big project not as over whelming. We now have a bed of rock instead of a bed of weeds.


We are in the process of removing the weeds and dead grass.

The finished project! We hope to add some trees down the road but for now its just a major face lift for our house.

"I like to move it move it...."

"...We like to move it move it" (Our family really likes Madagascar...Sabrinna loves to dance to the theme song). Anyways life has been a little crazy for our family lately. We have officially moved to Fountain, Colorado. We have been busy unpacking, sorting, and trying to get organized. We have been here for a couple of weeks now and have really liked it so far. It has been hard to leave family back in Utah but we are grateful we are only a days drive away! We think that Colorado Springs/Fountain its a lot like Utah Valley only the mountains are on the wrong side. I will post some pictures of our new place and some of the things we have been up to later!

Cheese!

Sabrinna and her cousin Tegan like to play together. Sometimes they get along great and other times not so great. The other weekend they were playing at Grandmas and Grandpas. They decided that playing with the toys was boring but playing in the toy bin while eating cheese was TONS of fun! What a simple life. To be a kid again.

It's Always fun when Daddy comes home!

Steve has been in San Antonio for the last couple of months, for once again some more training. It was a real treat this last weekend because he was able to come home and visit for the weekend. He flew in Friday night and then had to go back to Texas for a couple more weeks on Sunday. We all had a great time just being together and hanging out with Daddy!


(Sorry this picture is blurry.) Steve, Sabrinna, and Tanner had fun playing on the wiggle cars. They were all over the place with the cars! Sabrinna had a great time! It had been a while since she had been sufficiently tickled or chased around the house.

The Joys of Easter

We had a nice Easter including a couple of egg hunts and time with family and friends.


I took Sabrinna to an Easter Egg Hunt that our ward was doing. (It was inside due to some bad weather.) She had lots of fun picking up the eggs and later going though the eggs to get the candy.




On Easter Sunday we went to the Wentz house and Aunt Kellie and Sabrinna had a egg hunt together. Sabrinna helped hide the eggs and this is where she put them. One Stop Hunting!


We also went to my brothers for a while and decorated eggs. It is my families tradition to have a race with the eggs. We will take the eggs make a track and roll them down a hill. The eggs get pretty beat up and most often destroyed. Well this year there was no real good hill for a race so we went for the next best thing........the baseball bat. It was pretty fun to see how far we could hit the eggs or see if we could get them to crumble over us. Its a weird tradition but we have fun with it! (Don't worry some eggs are reserved for sandwiches...for those that like them.)


Grandma Michelle got Sabrinna her beautiful Easter dress. Sabrinna loves it for a couple of reasons. One its PINK!!! (A very favorite color) and two she thinks its a princess dress. It has become a dress-up as well as a church dress.


Tanner was so cute! The sweater he has on was made from a family in Argentina. Steve served his mission there and still writes this family. The mother made the sweater for Tanner when she found out we were having baby boy.

My good friend Raelene was in town and spent the weekend with us. Sabrinna was taken with her and would follow her all around the house. Sabrinna became Raelenes shadow!

Tanner looks so cute! I really like this shirt on him.


He loves to play in his saucer toy! He has gotten really good at grabbing the toys and pushing the buttons.

Sabrinna is talking to you on the phone in this picture. This is when the vacuum broke and we had it out to try and fix it. If we can't use it to clean why not use it to sit on. The next best thing!

The Ultimate OH MAN!

A week ago Sabrinna went downstairs to finish her breakfast after playing. I put in my exercise video and figured Sabrinna was okay. Her breakfast was on the table and I could her moving about. After 20 minutes I went down to check on her and this is what I found...





There is a total of 25 pounds of flour and sugar all over the kitchen floor and spread over the carpet in the hallway. Lucky, since I had been exercising endorphins had been released and all I could do was smile and laugh! Its mine own fault for leaving her alone for so long. Needless to say the pantry door has now been child locked. Another joy of motherhood!
